This CD is dedicated to First Sergeant Brian Martin (US Army, Retired); Chief Warrant Officer Orville Gannon (US Army, Retired); Colonel William Harrigan (US Army, Retired); musician Steve Patke; Regina Randow-Perez; Margaret and Freeman Griffin; Robert, Elsie, and Richard Moffett; and master teachers Carmine Caruso and Claude Gordon. You each taught us so much and left us too soon. Education takes us to places we never imagined. Because of the inspiration and guidance of high school band director Robert M. Scott, retired Dean of The College of Arts and Letters at Missouri State University, I became a professional musician. And in the process of pursuing a second career in education, a simple presentation evolved into a CD, and then another and another, because a committed professor inspired a graduate student. My heartfelt gratitude goes to Dr. Melendez O. Byrd, Norfolk State University.
